Melchiore Buscemi MD is a native New Yorker. He graduated from St. Francis College in Brooklyn, New York with a degree in Biology. During his undergraduate education, Dr. Buscemi was a volunteer Fire Fighter and an accomplished Cellist, often playing in Off-Broadway shows in various places in New York.
Dr. Buscemi attended medical school at The Autonomous University of Guadalajara, Guadalajara, Mexico, with clinical rotations during his third and fourth years at Wyckoff Heights Hospital in New York City. He completed an externship at Queens Hospital, Queens, New York, and received his Medical Degree from the State University of New York in 1984. During this time Dr. Buscemi was the Lead Author, publishing articles in Genetics and Virology in the Journal, ‘UROLOGY.'
